Nutritional Information
Our products are not "low fat" or "low" salt but they do offer significantly improved fat and salt totals than the Meat and Livestock Commission averages for "Premium Sausages" (defined as over 70% meat content). This is particularly the case when comparing the comparative values for the harmful saturated fats. Our use of high visual lean meat gives high values of the beneficial unsaturated fats.

It is a policy of Westaways to look at Guideline Daily Allowances (GDAs) when developing new products and any new products must be within the "Amber and Green" limits. We have already reduced our salt levels on our most popular lines and are in the process of further reductions on an incremental basis. We conduct regular taste panels to review our own sausages against other recognised premium brands.
