Children like sausages!
I know this is not ground breaking news........but they do.......look at these two!!

Our season at Agricutural and county shows is nearing its end. We have sold nearly 30 tonnes of sausages. Cooked some 32,000 sausages as samples and made lots of new friends.
New Production Line
We have started a £500k investment plan. Westaways are already BRC A grade accredited but we are planning even tighter controls on hygiene, handlling and temperatures. As part of this inestment we have installed an additional high speed line capable of producing an extra 2400 packs of our sausages per hour
Meat Management Awards
We were delighted to be the only UK Brand of Sausages to be shortlisted for Britains Best Sausage at the 2011 Meat Management Awards.
Our West Country Pork and Herb sausages are Gluten Free and should be iin the shops in the Autumn

Bumper April Sales
The dry and sunny spell ithat we have enjoyed in April has given a great boost to sales with an all time record week during the month. Sales have come from an excellent Tesco promotion on "Family Packs" with 7.5 times volume uplift,. a deep cut promotion in Makro and very bouyant Export Sales .
The show season has started with a record one day sales at the North Somerset show on the May Bank Holiday, We are now looking forward to Devon County Show, Sherborne , and Bath and West Show in the coming four weeks.
Good publicity in The Sun with the graphic illustration of Westaways as a world brand, and The
Express did a nice centre page feature on exports with Westaways shown as a case study.

As I trudged home for lunch through the 8 inches of fresh snow and the minus 3 bitter wind I
wondered what was for lunch. As I kicked the snow off my boots and entered the kitchen my wife
announced she had just bought some sausages. I set to and popped them under the grill as I was feeling
really hungry. Never tried these before I mused as the sausages browned nicely and I read the packaging.
Hey, these are from Newton Abbott I announced as the sausages were nearly ready. We tucked in and
in no time the empty plates were testament to a really tasty sausage, best I’d had for years.
