Westaway Sausages Limited is a manufacturer of sausages and related products based in Newton Abbot, Devon with a turnover approaching £3 million.
We supply Butchers, Caterers, Supermarkets, and Delicatessens throughout the West Country with sausages, Hogs Pudding, stuffings, faggots and burgers. We also have a thriving export business. One in ten of the premium sausages eaten in the West Country are ours.
We are accredited with EFSIS higher level.
We use EDI, telesales, intranet, website, and fax for collecting orders. We also use UDEX, and Standard Pallet Identification Coding.
We endeavour to source whenever possible from the West Country. We do not use imported meat.
We deliver 7 days a week to supermarket depots, and 6 days a week to all other customers and we are fiercely proud of our 100% delivery record.
Our Westaways sausages are well recognised in our region, made by mincer in small batches to maintain texture. We have the latest generation of fillers and cutters to provide a totally consistent premium quality sausage. We only use selected cuts of pork and therefore offer good nutritional quality as well outstanding succulence and taste profiles. Our daily production is typically 3-5 tonnes with capacity of 10 tonnes per day.
